El desafío técnico de la Fórmula1

Las Gates, punto de entrada y salida para miles de visitantes del Gran Premio de Singapore (Singapore Grand Prix 2011), fueron construidas por Buildair para realzar la imagen del evento y servir como punto de encuentro de grandes personalidades que asistieron.
Fabricadas con una combinación de tejidos técnicos con características únicas para crear un sistema híbrido de protección sin precedente en el sector de las estructuras hinchables, las gates han sido un desafío tecnológico y de diseño que permiten destacar el nivel de avance de la empresa Española en el mercado internacional.

Buildair firma un contrato para la F1 de Singapur

La empresa catalana Buildair, especializada en el diseño y la construcción de estructuras hinchables, ha firmado un contrato para proveer carpas de acceso al circuito urbano de Fórmula 1 (F1) de Singapur.
El contrato, logrado a través de su filial en Singapur Buildair APAC (Buildair Asia Pacific), es por dos años, y se iniciará con el próximo Gran Premio de F1 de Singapur entre el 23 y el 25 de septiembre.
Buildair, con oficinas en Asia, Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos, también está logrando contratos en Brasil de hangares hinchables para empresas aeronáuticas, por lo que estudia abrir filial en dicho país antes de fin de año.
La compañía, con sede en Barcelona, también ofrece puentes y refugios de desplegado rápido para uso militar y situaciones de emergencia, y prevé "crecimientos superiores al 200% anual a partir de 2012 en los sectores industrial y de energías renovables".
Buildair nació en 2001 para poner en valor y comercializar la tecnología de estructuras hinchables desarrollada en el Centro Internacional de Métodos Numéricos en Ingeniería (CIMNE) de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
Inflatable "At" design in Viveiro

Last August 15th we attended the pre-official presentation of one of the most amazing inflatable structures of the moment. The inflatable structure has the shape of the "AT" (@) symbol and is red and huge, it was presented in Viveiro (Lugo) as a unique space for IT and innovation promotion made by the government of the province. The inflatable structure was entirely designed and produced by Buildair and it represents the continuous effort to meet our clients wishes and be there for them. It was designed and produced in less than one month. It is almost 200 sqmt (total dimension including accessory space) with over 120 sqmt usable space. El pasado 15 de Agosto se hizo presentación pre-oficial de una de las carpas hinchables más destacables y llamativas del momento.

Buildair makes premiere presentation of Tensairity ™ technology of quick deployment bridges.
FIDAE in its 2010 edition, the most important event in Latin America for the aviation and military industries, had a great development and participation despite the recent earthquakes in Chile. Buildair had the opportunity to be there and present Tensairity ™ pneumatic technology appropriate for the technical requirements of both industries.
From March 23 to 28, 6 days full of visitors at a trade fair that besides being an important business event is also a stunning setting for individuals who enjoy the air show. International Airport Arturo Merino Benitez, hosted the event that attracts thousands of visitors and that this year took the theme of ""solidarity"" and offered the collected money to those most affected by the earthquake of February. 420 companies from over 30 countries exhibited products at FIDAE within six categories: civil and commercial aviation, airport equipment, space technology, defense, aircraft maintenance and Homeland security.
Over a dozen of the largest aerospace and defense consortiums including EADS, Airbus, Eurocopter, Boeing and Finmeccanica were present with their latest technological developments. Buildair first introduced technology bridges

With Cantabria at FITUR

The Stand of Cantabria in the XXX edition of the International Tourism Fair in Spain - FITUR, received some 62.000 visitors, 2.000 more than previous edition, making it "the best results ever" in words of Francisco Javier López Marcano, "Culture, Tourism and Sports" Representative for the regional government of Cantabria.
The Stand "Organic auto-illuminated structures" was designed by Antonio Alvarez(DM) with Buildair in charge of the inflatable structures production.
Buildair congratulates Antonio Alvarez for this wonderful exhibit, and the Region of Cantabria for becoming the absolute winner of the FITUR prize to the best Active-Tourism product, organized by FITUR and the "Aire Libre" magazine.
In Buildair we know the enormous amount of work required to make things work right. We are honored to have worked with Antonio Alvarez, whose professionalism and determination were essential for this successful journey.
First Inflatable and Mobile Hangar

Buildair built an impressive mobile inflatable hangar for LAN Chile Airlines.
A mobile inflatable Hangar has already begun to work in the facilities that LAN Airlines has at the airport of Santiago, Chile. This solution was provided by the Catalan company Buildair SA.
The innovative use of inflatable technology for the airport sector was only matched by the remarkable mobility of the hangar. The implementation of computer simulation was crucial to the success of the project. It was essential to know beforehand how the structure would behave to determine the right composites and construction system.

This year "Structural Membranes 2009" will be held at the Institute of Statics and Dynamics of Aerospace Structures (ISD), University of Stuttgart. The biannual congress, aims to collect and disseminate state-of-the art research and technology for the design, analysis, construction and maintenance of textile composites and inflatable structures.
This is one of the thematic conferences of "European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences" (ECCOMAS) and is the forum of referrence for the most significant advances and future research directions in the field of inflatable structures and textile composites.
Buildair as supporting organization, is convinced that research and technology transfer to the private sector are essential elements in advancing societies nowadays.
New Porsche Panamera presentation in Spain.

September 17th and 18th, dates for the presentation in Spain of the New Porsche Panamera in a glamorous event at the expecting glance of several honor guests and important personalities.
The climax of the presentation took place when the Panamera appeared on scene from an Inflatable Cube of light that served as screen and covering for the car while the audiovisual part of the event took place.
The inflatable Cube, designed and manufactured by Buildair has an elaborate system of tension specific sections instrumental for the deflating speed, creating a light-cloud involving effect that surrounded the new model with an impressive spectral and futuristic halo.

Architectural and conceptual desing honoring blood donation, by Alicia Framis.
From september 17 until the 21st a memorable space in an inflatable building will be open for all public of madrid.
Those who want to donate blood will be able to do so in a conceptual and architectural space designed by Alicia Framis Mataró, 1967 - http://www.aliciaframis.com/). The proposal of the artist is to have a warm and comfortable space with a touch of luxe in which blood donators can interact and converse while they wait for their turn to donate blood, that unique gift that saves so many lifes.
It is a proposal developed by the artist and organized by Matadero Madrid inside an inflatable building by Buildair for "La Noche en Blanco".
